An inaugural event with an Inaugural Poet on the eve of the Presidential Inauguration.

Please join us for the debut of The Charlotte Center for the Humanities and Civic Imagination, featuring Richard Blanco, Presidential Inaugural Poet at the 2nd Inauguration of President Obama and author of “How to Love a Country.”

We will introduce The Charlotte Center, share our vision, story, and programming, and hear from Richard as he explores the complexities of American identity and intimate matters of citizenship and belonging that affect us all.
